1) What comes with the machines?
The machines are supplied complete with keyboard, mouse and power cable,
ready for use immediately. Monitors are not supplied as standard but are
available at specially discounted prices with systems. StrongArm Risc
PCs and A7000+ machines have !Bookworm user manual on board where possible
but otherwise machines are usually supplied without user or welcome guide.

2) What tests are done to the machines before despatch?
All systems have the hard disc verified for errors, map checked
and applications replaced if necessary. The keyboards and mice, floppy
discs, sound and where relevant CD ROMs or Ethernet cards are fully tested
for functionality. Power cables used during testing are despatched with
the systems.

3) Where do our computers come from?
Due to our links with LEAs throughout the UK we have regular
supplies of machines coming in from schools, and we also collect from
other organisations who have used Acorn machines in showrooms and training
facilities in the UK.

4) What are our warranty terms?
All machines are supplied with a limited DOA warranty and are guaranteed
to be working. Thorough tests are carried out and machines will have been
tested at least twice before despatch due to the nature of our booking
in and testing procedures. We have not in general found that extended
warranties are necessary or taken up, as any problems with machines will
have been ironed out in the life of the machine. Extended warranties are
available upon request.

5) How do systems arrive
Systems are shipped by next day courier using City Link and are guaranteed
next working day from despatch. Care is taken to ensure that items are securely
packed to avoid damage and all consignments are fully insured. We have chosen
a courier company who are extremely careful with the way they handle items
to avoid transit problems.

6) Who are we?
Future Computer Services Ltd. was formed in June 1996 to service the home
market for Acorn computer equipment. Since then we have diversified into
various fields such as network cabling and web site design. We have skilled
specialist engineers for network cabling and a many programmers available
for web site design projects large or small.

7) Do we supply abroad?
We can supply to most areas of the world and have supplied systems and
Acorn computer equipment to a number of EU countries and outside the EU,
such as Russia. Shipping costs are worked out on a case by case basis
with non UK shipments. UK shipments are charged at a set rate apart from
the highlands of Scotland and some outlying islands.
For machines, prices are £10 for UK delivery, £36 for up
to 12Kg to EU countries and range up to £85 to New Zealand for 12Kg
(Risc PC weight!). These rates are based upon Standard International Parcel
Force delivery.

8) What payment methods do we accept?
We accept cheque payment (including non UK cheques) for goods which are
despatched as soon as ready once we receive payment. We also accept BACs
bank transfers to our account. Unfortunately we do not accept credit or
debit cards.
